THINGS THAT CHANGED OTHER THINGS
This zine was my first real venture into the zine world. I signed up for The Fiction Project through the ArtHouse Co-Op in 2011.
The idea was that anyone can participate from anywhere in the world, and there are no rules, except that about 50% of the book should be written fiction, and the other 50% illustrations or artwork of some sort. A list of vague topics were provided and you could either choose your topic from the list, or you could have an internet robot choose for you. I believe I chose the vaguest title of "Things That Changed Other Things" in order to give myself enough leeway for my first ever attempt at making something like this ever.
I didn't end up finishing it on time because it never seemed good enough. I realized I'm not much of a fan of creative fiction, and have an overwhelming need to base everything in reality to a certain extent. Perhaps the Fiction Project was not for me, but by making it, I developed a particular style which I have carried out in some form or another in the rest of my zine projects.
*actual zine scans to come, please stay tuned.
